Scoring pair on laminate for a wine-estate kitchen.

This record comes from a wine-estate kitchen in Stellenbosch where laminated tops needed a clean face cut before final sizing. The setup used a scoring pair ahead of the main blade so the decorative surface would break neatly at the line. Board handling, kerf width and chip-out checks mattered more here than long production volume.
First boards were photographed and archived once the scoring line looked right on the laminate face. Flanges were cleaned before fitting, and the handover notes captured stock type, cut direction and what the operator saw on the first passes. For a similar panel job, send the details through our contact form with your town, board finish and saw setup.
What carries over from this project is the cut routine used on laminated tops, not only the finished board image. The useful notes cover scoring alignment, measured kerf, panel support and the face quality after the first cuts. See Scoring Pair with Laminate top scoring when matching blade choice to this kind of board.
One completed cutting setup is recorded here, not every condition found in another workshop. Motor size, spindle condition, extraction load and the laminate brand can all change the result on site. Cape winter moisture, stored board temperature and feed pressure should still be checked before repeating the cut.
