Tile wet card

Water, feed, and rim care for porcelain.

Porcelain wet-cut reference

This card is set up for wet cutting glazed ceramic and dense porcelain on South African site saws. It covers water flow, feed pressure, and rim checks that matter when municipal supply is weak in the morning and slurry builds quickly by midday. If you need a copy for the saw station, use our contact form for the PDF version.

Keep the card next to the machine where the operator can check water reaching both blade faces before the first pass. Pair it with the blade spec and the tile type, because polished porcelain, textured wall tile, and thick outdoor pavers do not behave the same. A quick look at the notes helps prevent edge chipping, wandering cuts, and rim glazing during load-shedding restarts.

At the saw table

Match the card with the right disc and stock notes before cutting starts. Use Blades for the wet-cut diamond option, Materials for porcelain or ceramic guidance, and Kerfs to compare cut width when accuracy matters on grout-line layouts.

Johannesburg water and dust conditions

The notes suit en-ZA workshop use, with attention to hard water scale, dust after power interruptions, and mixed batches common on Johannesburg and coastal jobs. Water trays need more frequent cleaning when slurry thickens, especially on long porcelain runs. The aim is straightforward saw-side guidance rather than a general tool list.
