Kerf waste sheet

Nesting sheet that accounts for kerf width.

Kerf allowance planning sheet

This sheet gives workshop staff a quick place to record blade kerf against each board or plate before nesting starts. It suits sheet goods, solid timber, plastics, and non-ferrous stock where a few millimetres lost to the cut can throw off part counts. Ask through our contact form if you need the PDF version for your cutting area.

Pair it with the selected blade spec and the material notes so the cutting list matches what the saw will remove. On days with power interruptions, operators can still check kerf width, trim allowance, and usable offcut size from a printed copy. That helps when re-cutting jobs after a machine stop or blade change.

Where the sheet helps most

Use the sheet alongside Blades, Materials, and Kerfs when setting out a new batch. Cross-check tooth count, plate thickness, and expected waste before the first full sheet goes on the machine.

South African cutting conditions

The layout fits South African workshop use, with metric dimensions, common sheet sizes, and space for notes on imported board variation. Humid coastal air, dusty inland sites, and mixed generator power can all affect cut quality, so the sheet leaves room for machine-side observations. It is meant for saw planning, not for general tool shopping.
