Nest with kerf

Kerf lanes in a tight nest

Nest sheet showing kerf waste lanes. Gallery leaves exist for workshops that want a visual reference before they open a blade path. This is not a moodboard dump. Each frame ties back to a kerf habit or a disc geometry.

This nest image pairs well with the Blades and Kerfs pages when you are checking waste lane width against sheet yield. On melamine, MDF, or chipboard, the visible gap left by the blade can show whether spacing was set for a thin-kerf panel saw blade or a heavier industrial plate. If you need a clearer print for toolbox talks or machine setup sheets, use our contact form.

What the sheet reveals

Start at the narrow channels between parts and check whether the kerf stays even through long rips and short cross cuts. A wandering lane can point to feed pressure, a dull tip, poor hold-down, or chip build-up on the flange. On nested work, those small clues matter because one drifting cut can spoil edging allowances across the whole board.
