Caddy foam

Three discs nested in foam. Gallery leaves exist for workshops that want a visual reference before they open a blade path. This is not a moodboard dump. Each frame ties back to a kerf habit or a disc geometry.

Use the image alongside Blades and Kerfs when you set up foam packing for loose discs. This caddy shows three round pieces sitting in cut recesses, so the useful check is edge support and pocket clearance, not surface finish alone. If you need a cleaner still for a workshop pinboard, send it through our contact form.

Disc pockets in foam

Check how each circular recess carries the disc without pinching the rim. On foam work, kerf choice affects whether the pocket grips lightly or tears at the entry point, especially on tight nested shapes. Also inspect the land between cavities, because thin webs can flex once the sheet is handled around the bench.

Limits

Foam photographs cleaner than it behaves in a busy shop. Dust, heat and repeated test fits will roughen the cut edge far sooner than a gallery frame suggests. That matters when you stack inserts in a bakkie or move kits between Johannesburg jobs.
